How vain it is to sit down to write when you haven't stood up to live?
There are few NBA “sources” out there that are more trustworthy than:
of Yahoo! sports. Whenever he tweets something, even if it’s according to “Y! sources” I rarely take it with a grain of salt. The guy has a fantastic track record and odds are he is going to beat the next guy in line to the punch when it comes to breaking updates.
A twitter troll managed to take advantage of that fact, creating an account with an extra “o” in yahoo, using an identical avatar as Wojnarowski. The fake twitter handle announced that James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder had been traded to New Orleans. Now, I’ll be the first to admit it, I got caught slipping and responded with “WHAAAT?!” soon after embarrasingly (and promptly!) deleting my tweet. I then reported him. Soon after, I realized that JAMES HARDEN HIMSELF got fooled, posting via instagram that he just found out he’s been traded and that he’ll miss OKC. Wow.
I’ll go on record to say: fake/parody handles ARE CORNY. GET A LIFE.
NYTimes put out this awesome stat breakdown for the NBA Finals. No shot chart has ever been this artsy. Check the link here to see the interactive chart on NYT.
It had been a close toss up who I wanted to lose more in the NBA Finals. The whole LeBron eating crow idea sounds fantastic (“not two, not three…eight”)…however, after seeing these two disastrous videos (the one pictured above) and even more so this one I’m rooting for the Heat all the way. Gotta love the line “glad we drafted Fish.” Dumb dumbs.
Sweep, get it over with.
The cold-blooded TRUTH. My 5 thoughts as a Blazer fan:
