How vain it is to sit down to write when you haven't stood up to live?
Damian Lillard just tweeted a video of his pre-draft workout. Impressive stuff, guy is going to be a work horse for the Blazers.
~*Introducing: License to Lillard*~
How this video only has 15k views is beyond me. A few weeks back, I thought Damian Lillard’s available highlight tapes on the web were some of thee weakest I’ve ever seen for a future prospective lottery pick. I showed a few tapes to a couple of my buddies, and they couldn’t stop cracking up watching him break off an opponent, yet hoist up a brick off the back rim. Can they not get a tape out here that illustrates perfection? Great f’n question. The bulk of them including far too many broken plays, missed jumpers and exposed far too many holes in his game that you don’t typically see in highlight reels. I didn’t mind many of them, because a few showcased the bulk of the plays he made (both good & bad) in a single game, like this one vs. Portland State. Shows the dude is a hell of a ballplayer, but sticks to the reality that, yes, he’s still human…still reaching toward a very high ceiling.
Then, he comes and drops this…thank you, Lillard crew. This is a fantastic piece of work that shows the top PG in the 2012 draft at work, providing a glimpse into the life of a PG on a mission with a chip on his shoulder, narrated by the man himself.
Can’t wait until the Portland Trailblazers draft him. Don’t mess this up Olshey, don’t even think about it. He’s a can’t-miss-prospect, I don’t care what anyone has to say.
They want to talk about his experience. Let me drop his stat line for you (click to enlarge):
Dude has a successful career, and an incredible senior season:

Now to the video, drumroll please:
An NBA Combine video with Lillard, one of the greatest work ethics in the draft. Living proof right here.

Very impressive interview with the top PG in this year’s NBA Draft, Damian Lillard (take your Kendall Marshall nonsense elsewhere). The Blazers passed up on the opportunity to draft both CP3 & Darron Williams back in 2005…this is our chance at redemption. Draft this guy: Great athlete, sharpshooter both spot-up and off-the-dribble, can D up, pass-first-type, tremendous speed/agility to get through the first level of defenders, etc. Can’t say more about his heavy interest to run the pick n’ roll with Aldridge. Big things coming for #RipCity. LesssGo!
